The Early Years Support Centre at Jane Norman College supports the Early Learning and Child Care Community. We provide professional development opportunities through on-site workshops as well as in other locations in our region. We welcome suggestions and ideas for future workshop topics.

Russell Resource Library
Early childhood educators are welcomed and encouraged to come to Truro to visit the Russell Resource Library which has a large collection of professional resources and children’s books available for borrowing.
Loose Parts Lab at Jane Norman College
Early childhood educators should also come to visit our Loose Parts Lab. The Lab was inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to Early Childhood Education whereby materials that would normally be thrown away could be re-used and re-purposed. The Loose Parts Lab is a place where early childhood educators can come to borrow loose parts for children to use in their play. These loose parts also often referred to as intellectual materials promote critical thinking,
